Created by the Scottish skateboarder John Rattray and partly inspired by the tragic loss of his sister Katrina, has raised awareness and funds for mental health, suicide alertness and prevention. The mission of “Why So Sad?” is to help open up the conversation and helping those battling with depression and other obstacles to their mental well-being. This Nike SB Bruin High features a Brown leather base with matching suede overlays, highlighted by light blue hues on the Swooshes designed to fade over time to Speed Yellow. Hits of Monarch on the heel and tongue tags with “Why So Sad?” branding on the inner tongue tag, and question marks embroidered on the heel whit predatory bird motif skateboarding on the left heel and bicycling on the right and co-branded sockliner. The upper rests on semi-translucent light gum brown bottoms with herringbone traction patterns for grip round out the mission-driven collaboration.
